Grey Towers and Laurel Hill Cemetery

On May 25th, our team found itself on the steps of the majestic and historic Grey Towers, beside the Laurel Hill Cemetery, in Milford, PA. Nestled within' Pennsylvania's Pike County, Grey Towers was built in 1886 by the Pinchot family. Gilford Pinchot was the first Chief of the U.S. Forest Service and the Governor of PA twice.

A beautiful and well maintained mansion, it was very quiet with regard to any paranormal activity. Upon speaking to our tour guide he said that he didn't feel the mansion was haunted except the basement was not a place you'd want to be alone at night. "You couldn't pay me enough to stay overnight down there" he said, as we passed through the mansion's dooraway into the beautiful garden area. The team took many pictures of the beautiful mansion before having a picnic lunch beside the mansion's apitheter. By mid-afternoon the team made its way to Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Laurel Hill cemetery was established in 1821 and houses approximately 112 monuments. Most of the monuments are worn, many broken, tumbled down and overgrown by grass and bushes. it appears a restoration proecces might be underway, but this area, too, was quiet of any paranormal activity. Our team respectfully laid flowers throughout the graveyard in honor of Memorial day and continued on our way.

Grey Towers and the Laurel Hill Cemetery made for an enjoyable afternoon; an informative tour, a beautiful area, and a cemetery losing its battle with time. No ghostly activity was noted. Perhaps another day.
