Sleepy Hollow Cemetery
Sleepy Hollow, NY was made famous by Washington Irving’s legendary tale about a headless horseman terrorizing the villagers of a small hamlet along the Hudson River in New York. The town is still very much alive and within’ it is one of New York State’s most historic cemeteries and the final resting place of Washington Irving himself.
The Sullivan Paranormal team spent a refreshing autumn day here as we explored the 90 Acres of cemetery together. A common tourist trap during October for Halloween, EVPs were impossible to conduct and eventually an investigation turned into a sight-seeing adventure. The cemetery is certainly an amazing experience and holds so much history it wasn’t hard to become lost in it. Sepulchres and monuments often towered above us, leaving us awestruck.
This investigation turned sightseeing trip is not one our members will soon forget and the majestic Sleep Hollow Cemetery is definitely a location we plan on returning to. For more photos like the one below of Sleep Hollow cemetery please head to Photographic Warfare.
